BON AMI Foundation Aired 3_3_08 http://www.bonamifoundation.org/ MISSION: BON AMI (French for great friend) Foundation is an ECO- HUMAN- and ANIMAL-FRIENDLY not-for profit organization that marries two great causes: CANCER SURVIVORS and STRAY CATS and DOGS. Our programs and services empower CANCER SURVIVORS so they have the knowledge and options to [hopefully] prevent reoccurrences and/or new cancers… as well as saving the lives of STRAY DOGS and CATS. BON AMI Foundation provides healthful alternative lifestyle services and activities that include the use of dog and cat therapy (a Pet a day keeps the doctors away), exercise and nutrition, as well as social events and educational symposiums. Our [trained] dogs and people-friendly cats {aka Healing Companions) must meet certain criteria : our pooches are extensively trained by Animal Behavior Consultant & Trainer, Janice Triptow. Companion dogs that have gone through training and certification, but do not meet expectations as “Companion Healing” dogs, will be adopted by senior citizens, employees, and/or family members of cancer survivors. Our goal is to help CANCER SURVIVORS not only SURVIVE but also THRIVE.

My Female Pitbull-Boxer had nine puppies; I gave away six of them and kept three—a sweet female black Lab and two male Mastiffs; I thought I was going to bond with the one male (Kilo), but it happened with the other one (Chico) instead! It’s cool because I love Chico VERY much!!! It turns out that he is also the LEADER of the pack! I would like to know how the BONDING between us happened! Any ideas??? Gracias!
If you fell in love with him you must of gotten to know him the best, By paying more attention to him you bonded to him and he bonded to you. Dogs love people too.

I want to buy a dog, but i don’t know what breed to choose for a first time owner.
There’s no specific dog that is suitable for a first time dog owner. I have been a dog owner for about 8 years and I cannot say how adorable and precious they are. Any dogs match anybody if you are ready to take care of them. For me, my first dog was a Beagle. It was for my sister’s birthday present. He was such an adorable, little puppy. We named him Lu. However, he died a few days later after showing unusual symptoms. This made me depressed for a few months till we got a new dog breed, a Maltese. Honestly, I have to say there aren’t any dog breeds that match a particular type of person. Just show affection towards them. Any dogs react to that, and if you do have one in mind, just choose that. It always doesn’t have to be the smarter, better-looking, or a loyal one. It depends on what dog breed you like.
