    I have worked with …
I have worked with working mals and frankly you must remeebr what they are bred for herding.Yes they are great police dogs ext but herding was their orginal function and many working mals can’t even begin to do that because they have been bred to be so hard and aggressive they would attack the sheep.
and again yes many show people breed for pretty in every breed but then many working people breed for a hard bite only and thats not goo either when you loose the total structure of the breed.

    and again it …
and again it depends on who you deal with./Working mal people many don’t even do the basic health screens or know if the lines they breed are producing epilepsy. The akc national club ABMC requires eyes certified yearly and elbows and hips certified to even be listed or advertise.

I am not saying all …
I am not saying all but… from the AKC breeders i have met it is all about looks its like breeding blondes for beuty no brains and nerve issue’s besides, I have malinois in my house as pets but.. i am a pro dog man i cant see every day folks wanting a malinois!! they are ment for work not a center piece. breeding for looks is selfish!!! look at the american bulldogs issues!!! atleast they have an independent registry and are trying to clean the breed up!!

    to each their …
to each their own.Proper breeders try and breed for both correct temperament and structure.Unfortunetly to many working people breed for only working and thus many of the working mals don’t even look like a mal.and if you knew anything you’d know that one the most famous and titled working mals ever james was also a AKC champion and mulitible breed winner. So if bred properly you can have a correct looking mal as well as a correct temperament.

yeah us working malinois people realy like what you show folks did to the doberman!! ha ha,

  6. odysseykennel Says:

    Now the AKC people …
Now the AKC people have shown that mals can have correct conformation per the breed standard(thing which makes breeds look diffrent)and title in working, and be healthy with screening for known problems what about working people?Oh thats right most don’t even begin to conform to the standard few have health screens of any kind and most can’t even herd!

  7. odysseykennel Says:

    Both the first 2 …
Both the first 2 dogs are just over a year in this video BTW.

if you knew anything you’d know that many show akc mals also have working titles in agility, obedience, rally tracking, schutzhund and oh gee what they were bred for herding! In fact you’ll find more akc show dogs with herding titles than any working kennel mals.
